Carers Queensland connects families across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and regional Queensland.

How state contacts work
Better Start is a national programme delivered locally. Whichever state or territory you live in, your nearest Carers Association is the best first point of contact for information about eligibility, early intervention services, the move to the NDIS, and Continuity of Support.
One number for every state
The simplest way to reach your local provider is through the national Carer Gateway. Call 1800 422 737 (Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm local time) and you’ll be connected to the service nearest you, or visit carergateway.gov.au.
About the programme
Better Start is managed by Carers Australia and funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services, working in partnership with state and territory Carers Associations to deliver support directly to families.
