Step 3 - Referral
After a child was approved, the family received confirmation of the child's registration with the Better Start initiative. This confirmation was the point where families could move from eligibility checking into choosing and accessing appropriate early intervention services.
The Registration and Information Service Adviser could provide information about early intervention services for the child, explain how to use programme information, and help the family understand what to do after registration.
After registration
Families usually needed to keep their registration confirmation, provider information, and any funding or service documents together. Those records are especially useful now for families reviewing historical Better Start participation, checking old provider invoices, or understanding the move from Better Start to the NDIS.
